EFTAWelcome to PROSAFE
PROSAFE (the Product Safety Enforcement Forum of Europe) is an organisation established in 1990, entirely by market surveillance/enforcement officers throughout Europe who deal with the safety of consumer products. Since that time, most EU-Member States and EFTA (the European Free Trade Association) countries have been represented at meetings.
Interest has been expressed by enforcement officers from Candidate Member States and organisations such as EUROSAFE (European Association for Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion), CPSC (US Consumer Product Safety Commission), Health Canada and ANEC (European Association for the Co-Ordination of Consumer Representation in Standardisation) and various other organisations.
PROSAFE has over these last three years took the initiative to coordinate various EU funded projects and has been supported by the European Commission Health and Consumer Protection Directorate General (DG), Internal Market DG, Enterprise DG and EFTA and various Member States.
